Port Edward issues water quality advisory

The District of Port Edward has issued a water quality advisory due to issues at the water treatment plant on July 30.

While there has not been a boil water notice issued, residents are still being advised to find other sources of drinking water, including bottled water.

Residents with underlying health issues or illnesses are at greater risk of becoming ill from potential bacteria in the water.

This water quality advisory is only a precautionary measure while steps are being taken to address the problem.

For questions, contact the District Office at 250‑628‑3667 or visit the district website, portedward.ca, for more information.
