Car crashes into Walmart, driver injured

The Prince Rupert RCMP responded to a call on Friday, Aug. 29, after a driver crashed their vehicle into Walmart causing damage.

The RCMP were first on the scene, said Cpl. Madonna Saunderson.

“The RCMP are on scene of a crash where it appears a vehicle has collided with a building. It is believed that the driver has been injured.”

An investigation is ongoing, but RCMP say they believe they have found the cause of the crash.

“At this point in the investigation, it appears to be a medical issue causing the incident,” said the RCMP.
