Fire related property loss down 100 per cent in August

Prince Rupert Fire and Rescue Department saw a 7 per cent increase in call-outs throughout August.

Looking at the 115 call, despite a slight increase to incidents there was no structural Property loss due to fires, which was reported down from $53, 600 in July.

August marks the lowest reported property loss in the last six months.

PRFRD responded to one rescue, eight motor vehicle incidents, one fuel spill and 80 medical calls. The PRFRD also conducted eight public building inspections.

In addition to emergency response, the PRFRD also hosted a tour for students of Westview Childcare and conducted 19 training sessions.
